When you have earned the Companion Pass, whenever you fly Southwest, whether you paid for your flight with cash or points, your companion flies with you for free. Heck, you could do this daily! Whenever means whenever.

How do you earn it? For a limited time, earn a Southwest Companion Pass good through 2/28/25 plus 30,000 Southwest Rapid Reward points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

The Southwest Companion Pass has saved me thousands of dollars a year. It even works for international flights. You can also change who you designate as your companion up to three times each calendar year!
