In the wee small hours of Leap Day 2012, Continental’s much ballyhooed card offer went bye-bye. This happened in anticipation of the complete merger of Continental’s OnePass frequent flyer mile program with United’s MilesPlus program this Saturday March 3, 2012. Your Continental OnePass miles will automatically become United MileagePlus miles, or you could transfer them now.
This is a great time to take advantage of United’s card offer which is virtually the same as what Continental’s was: 30,00 miles for one purchase – no minimum spend. Well, at least a penny. Other airlines have higher spending requirements. With this, get the card, spend a buck, get 25,000 miles. Add an authorized user and get another 5,000 miles. No annual fee the first year. Apply now!

Leap Day is this Wednesday, February 29th. That is the last day you can apply for this GREAT card.
This is so ridiculously good, that I keep trying to herd folks to the trough. You get $25,000 frequent flyer miles (enough for a free flight) after making ONE purchase. No minimum purchase other than, well, a penny. You get another 5,000 frequent flyer miles if you add anothoer adult’s name as an authorized user. That’s 30,000 for buying a stick of gum.
This is the best offer of its kind. With other airline cards you have spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to get miles. This has no minimum.

How I Won $10,200 on Game Shows
Can you spin a wheel, answer in the form of a question, or guess the price of a showcase without going over? If so, this is a fun way to earn some extra cash. Way back in the 1900s, when I moved to Hollywood, I won $7,200 on Wheel of Fortune and $3,000 on the now-defunct DEBT. Being a contestant on game shows was fun and profitable. I’ll tell you how you can do it too!
DEBT was a trivia show hosted by Wink Martindale in 1996. This was a perfect fit because I have a flair for minutia and know everything that is not on the SAT. I wrote that line in my comedy notebook. I went back to read it later: “I know everything that’s not on Saturday.” What the…? That never got big laughs on stage. Some jokes do better in articles.
In late 1997, I reprised my role of “Chip – The Game Show Contestant” on the grand-daddy of them all: Wheel of Fortune. Here’s a photo of me and Pat Sajak. Who’s cool now? Take that Ed Grimley. I was the big winner on my day, and made enough to be on that week’s Friday Show of Champions.
Individual results may vary, but here’s how I got on those game shows:

Membership has its privileges, but so does non-membership. Turns out, I don’t need a membership at CostCo to buy prescription drugs and alcohol. The same may apply to your area wholesale club.
Years ago, I joined CostCo in the Bank of Bur (Burbank, CA). All I’d buy at their li’l boutique was party fixins and tube socks. I hung around because they partnered with Capital One on a nice online interest checking account that more than paid for my $55/year membership versus another account. Now their rate ain’t all that, and my money is out of there and parked at UFB Direct and ALLY bank.
I want to thank Attorney Daniel Perlman for providing me with the chapter and verse from the California

My goal here is to expose you to a way to make and/or save money, by using something that people often use to lose or fritter away money. I’m asking you to look at something differently, to consider making a paradigm shift, if you will. I will. I did. I do!
In 2011, not only did I make $3,843.94 tax-free using cashback cards but I also collected 238,000 airline frequent flyer miles without leaving the ground. This was more than enough points for 11 round trip Coach tickets or 5+ First Class tickets.
I suggest every adult get at least one of these airline cards, so you have a free flight at your disposal for emergencies. One year ago, when I got the call that my dad was dying, I used 25,000 frequent flyer miles for a ticket that otherwise would have cost me almost $1,000 on the exact same flight! A happier scenario: If you and your significant other each get a card, you can take a free trip together. Here are the BEST offers, by airline:

Didgeri To-Do List
Another thing on my annual To Do list, besides Learn Chisanbop, Perfect the Didgeridoo, and Check for Unclaimed Funds, is Update my “Here’s My Stuff” file. That file contains the most up-to-date instructions for those who are left to sort out my business, informing them just where my business is.
Will you have money coming in after you are gone? Will you tell your heirs about that or hope they will magically know to how and where to chase down your funds?
Actors still get residuals even after we have been wrapped from Life. In my “Here’s My Stuff” file, I also updated my agents’ info and who to call at my unions if my heirs have questions about Seinfeld and Coyote Ugly checks.
One easy way to track all of your money related accounts in one place, is by using the free program Mint.com. It will put all of your accounts and up-to-date balances for Banks, Credit Cards, Stocks & IRAs at Brokerage Houses, Loans and Real Estate in one place. Learn how it works.
