Here’s a little “Cancel Culture” that I can get behind. Now the curtain has dropped on my Bengals’ season, it’s time to cancel NFL Sunday Ticket. Doing so will give you a chance to get it free next season.
If you had NFL Sunday ticket last season, even if you got it free, DirecTV will automatically charge you full price for it for the upcoming season when your August bill drops.
To avoid this, you need to pick up the phone (1-800-531-5000) and cancel it.
Having it on your account disqualifies you for the possibility to get it free next season. So… cancel it!
And how do you then get it for free?
Hi Eric, When the NFL season is about to start, I post strategies about how to get it free – if possible. What I know is not possible, is that if you haven’t cancelled it from the previous season, DirecTV will tell you that you cannot get it for free because your subscription auto-renewed (you didn’t cancel it). They will start charging you automatically for payments in August. They will not negotiate with you if you have an active subscription. So, I suggest cancelling now. Then in August – September, call to see if any discounts are available on your account – including free NFL Sunday ticket.
