If you are steeling yourself for Black Friday, remember that these four cards can get you 5% cashback. If your quiver has one or more of these in it, make sure you have activated the 5% cashback feature.

If you don’t have one of these cards, there’s still time to get one or more and the 5% cashback. A couple even have $150 sign up bonuses on top!

To find them, look at the top right side of this website under “Chip’s Favorite Credit Card Offer$” click “Cash Back Credit Cards. That will take you to a secure site where you can get more info on these bad boys. Email me if you have any questions. Full disclosure: I may get a commission if you use my links so… Thanks!

The cards of which I speak:

Discover

Through December 31st, you can earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases in these categories:

  • Amazon.com
  • Wholesale clubs (Costco, Sam’s Club, etc.)

If you use Amazon year ’round, you might wanna use your Discover card to buy yourself some Amazon.com eGift cards to reload your Amazon.com balance. I’m just sayin’…

Chase Freedom

Through December 31st, you can earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases at these merchants in these categories:

  • Department stores
  • Wholesale clubs (Costco, Sam’s Club, etc.)
  • Purchases made with Chase Pay

Make sureyou are sign up by doing so at ChaseBonus.com.

Right now Chase Freedom Visa has a promotion that will give you $150 Bonus Cash Back on top of everything, if you apply for the card and spend just $500 in your first three months.  Check out these easy ways to meet the spending requirement.

Citi Dividend

Through December 31st, the 5% cash back categories are:

  • Department stores
  • Wholesale clubs (Costco, Sam’s Club, etc.)
  • Purchases made with Chase Pay

To enroll, log into your account online and click on the 5% cash back offer or call 1-800-231-0891.

Citi does not limit you to 5% on $1,500 spent in the categories per quarter (or $75 cash back per quarter) like Chase Freedom and Discover. You are limited to 5% cashback on purchases up to $6,000 per calendar year. Citi let’s you go nuts! Conceivably, you could spend $6K today in this quarter’s categories, collect $300 cash back, and then put the Citi card in the drawer until January. All other purchases earn 1% cash back.

Citi no longer offers this card to new customers. If you are like me and already have it, you can get the 5% cashback.

U.S. Bank Cash+

Through December 31st, you can earn 5% on two categories that you select from the list. In the screenshot below, I chose Department Stores and Electronics stores. 5% cash back is earned on your first $2,000 in combined net purchases (purchases minus returns or credits) in your chosen 5% categories. (purchases over $2,000 earn 1% cash back). 2% cash back is unlimited. All other eligible net purchases earn 1% cash back.

  • New Cardmember bonus: $150 after you spend $500 in eligible net purchases in the first 90 days of account opening.   Check out these easy ways to meet the spending requirement.
