3 Big Reasons. Allow Me to Clarify…

My friend Jonna asked me to clarify something.  Thankfully, it wasn’t butter.  Ohhhh no I di’in’t.  WHERE’RE MY FOODIES AT???!!!   Ahhh… fun with homonyms.

She did not know that my rewards junkie-tude makes me use a card to pay for EVERYTHING I can.  She told me she set up an auto-withdrawal from her checking account to pay her electric bill, so I suggested she pay the bill with her Hyatt Rewards card to earn more free hotel stays!

Three Big Reasons I use a credit card to pay for everything everywhere :

  1. I don’t like to handle dollars and coins that have been fondled by junkies, hobos, and booger-eating morons.
  2. I get rewards points, cash back ($3,944 in 2011) and Airline miles (238,000 in 2011). Then pay off the card with the cash I was going to use.
  3. A credit card acts as a firewall between the world and my money – something a debit card and cash do not.

If you are looking for a good rewards card, check out “Chip’s Favorite Credit Card Offers” at the top right side of this website for up-to-date deals, terms, and conditions on these cards and more.  Email me if you have any questions
about which card might be right for your situation.

Of course, Chase Ink Bold will give you enough rewards points worth $250 in cash or $312.50 in travel – just for making ONE purchase. (Expired offer) See my video here.

I charge EVERYTHING on a credit card, then pay it off in full when the statement comes.  If you don’t pay it off in full, the interest you will be charged wipes out the rewards you will receive.

Instead of auto withdrawals from bank account, have it auto withdrawal from credit card and get some rewards!
