Please save me from getting bummed out.  When I see an empty storefront or a “Going Out of Business” sale, my heart sinks.  My dad was a small businessman with a dozen employees.  Many of my friends have their own businesses as well, providing thousands of jobs.  I too have dabbled in several entrepreneurial endeavors: La Parisienne Pizza Shack, anyone?  (See video.  Apologies to Dan Aykroyd.  Do you recognize the voice of my cameraman?).

I know how hard it is to create a business out of thin air.  When I see a failed business, I think of all the excitement surrounding the opening and possibilities.  Then I think of all the hard work, stress and great disappointment as the business slowly dies on the vine, and as a final kick in the teeth – all the money that was lost.

If you click here or on Facebook and register your card for the American Express Small Businesses Saturday promotion, you will receive $25 off your American Express bill – all you need to do is spend a total of at least $25 on that registered AMEX card, this Saturday, November 26th.  Click here to see which small businesses accept American Express in your area.  I have registered all of my American Express cards and will use them to buy stuff I’d purchase anyway, maybe even a restaurant gift certificate for future use.  Please help fuel the economy – via small businesses this Saturday.  Don’t cost nuthin’.

If you would like an American Express card so you can get in on this hot kick-back action, check out the Gold Delta SkyMiles card.  Great promotion!  Through that link, you will get 30,000 miles if you spend $1,000 total in three months.  That’s enough miles for a free round trip flight and free checked bags for up to nine people in your party.

An “Eligible Card” is a valid American Express Consumer Card or Business Card from American Express OPEN issued in the U.S. …Prepaid Cards (including, without limitation, American Express Gift Cards) and Corporate Cards are not considered Eligible Cards.

Click on “Chip’s Favorite Credit Card Offers” at the top right side of this website for up-to-date deals, terms, and conditions on these cards and more.  Email me if you have any questions about which card might be right for your situation.
